Previously the Dover Castle (Sam Smiths), the folks behind the Euston Tap, etc, have done a great job restoring this pub’s old features. Expect art deco touches and a warm, cosy feel around its several rooms. This pub is very central – nominally in Marylebone but less than 10 minutes’ walk from Oxford Circus tube, in a quiet mews one street back from Portland Place. In addition to the cask ales there are around 12 keg beers on a decent list. It’s a lovely pub and well worth a visit.

In many ways a typical London mews pub, tucked away in a residential area, but this place stands above the majority by having a really good beer list, 4 cask and 14 keg. Keen to showcase both London breweries alongside the best breweries from elsewhere. Now part of the “Tap” family of bars this place is well worth a visit.
