This old High Street pub was an unlikely venue for a microbrewery, which now sadly appears to have fallen into disuse under new owners Portbello Brewing. We understood that the plan was to continue to brew here, but so far there appears to have been little brewing activity. If this changes we will be happy to update this entry and reinstate the brewery on our list. Older, darker wood panelled rooms at the front open out to the bar and (what was) the brewery area at the back, which is light and airy. Reports welcome.
