This bar doubles up as a community cafe, performance and events space and even a cinema. The beer list was once excellent, but now appears to be smaller, so reports are welcome. 10 mins walk from Forest Gate or Wanstead Park stations. Burgess & Hall next door has a small but good selection of beers and lots of wines, and is worth a look. NB: we recommend checking opening times before travelling, as they sometimes open later than advertised.

One room venue in a railway arch. This place is the very much a community space hosting cultural events at least once a week. Usually half a dozen beers available on tap with a conscious decision to try and stock beers that you won't find elsewhere locally.
