There's lots of very good beer at this restored old pub which had fallen on hard times: 6 cask, 12 keg and 2 still cider taps, and a few bottles from breweries of the highest quality.

Large, locals, corner pub opposite the park. 14 taps and 6 handpulls offering a great range with no macro beers in sight. There is plenty of seating inside and out and there is an interesting looking food menu. One of those hidden gems that you stumble across from time to time.
