Historic pub now taken on by Wild Card Brewery.
Jezza says
Located a short walk from Wild Card’s brewery on the Lockwood Industrial Estate, this imposing pub has a history going back to the 1800s. Previously the Warrant Officer, it now offers 6 keg Wild Card beers and 3-4 casks including one cider (plus 4-5 bottles). We assume that the new Wild Card cask beer will replace the current guest cask beers in due course. The service is sharp and friendly, it’s spacious inside and there’s plenty of outdoor space as well.

Large traditional one-roomed pub in the residential streets to the north of the Blackhorse Beer Mile. Now owned by Wild Card brewery it offers a good range of their beers across 6 taps and 3-4 handpumps. Very much a locals pub, as evidenced by my abortive visit a couple of weeks earlier when it was closed for a wedding celebration.
